Is implementing digital rights management a good idea?

But is it worth it?

Nobody likes to get ripped off. That's why many self-published authors, and big publishing concerns, implement digital rights management (DRM) in their ebooks. DRM prevents -- or is supposed to prevent -- unauthorised copying?

In this article in March 2015 I considered whether DRM is a good idea or not. I think it's still useful and relevant today. What do you think?
