One of the things I think can add to one’s enjoyment and also improve one’s writing is to read stories from other cultures. It’s not just about the stories themselves, which can tell you a lot about a place that you might not get to visit, but also the way they’re written.
At the moment I am very much enjoying this book. One of the stories seemed rather ordinary, nothing special. In fact, nothing much happened in it. Another one was laugh out loud funny, assisted no doubt by having to “hear” it in your head being spoken in a very broad accent!
