In December 2019 I will be teaching a taster course on blogging. In my opinion, all writers should maintain their own blog — see 7 Reasons writers should blog. One of the daftest pieces of advice I was given, by a so-called marketing expert, was to not bother with maintain my own blog: too much hassle. Write on other people’s blogs instead.

How do I prevent other websites and blogs from deleting my articles? This happens, and it’s happened to me. People archive old posts, making them very difficult to find, and sometimes pack up altogether.
