Over on my other blog, the one about education technology, I’ve started a new series called Dystopian Visions. I’m looking at scenarios described in some classic science fiction stories, and suggesting discussion points for teachers to use in their lessons.
If you’ve never bothered with science fiction — it tends to be the poor cousin of literature — the stories I‘m looking at are, as I say, classics. All of them have really interesting, and prescient, scenarios. Some of them are even well-written!
The first one I’ve looked at is Disappearing Act, by Alfred Bester.
My article on "Disappearing Act" has been updated with a new lit crit section!
