A great search engine for books
When you choose your next book to read, what criteria do you use? Until recently, I thought in terms of whether I fancied a fiction or nonfiction book, and then which genre or subject. However, having recently done a course called The European City in Contemporary Literature, I remembered that I had completely forgotten about reading books on the basis of location. Astonishing, really, when one considers that I have various books about London, a book of short stories whose action occurs in London, and other works of fiction in which place is paramount.
So I was pleased to come across a search engine that enables you to choose where you would like the action or narrative to be focused, followed by what kind of book you're interested in, and other criteria.
I found that the more criteria you selected, the fewer the number of books presented to you, as you'd expect. The best thing to do is to start just with the place, and narrow it down from there.
It came up with some great-looking titles for me. See how you get on.
