Every freelancer loses a client from time to time. For example, one of the magazines you write for may have a change of editor. The new editor has his or her own ideas, and possibly even their favourite writers from another magazine.
While this can be a cause of consternation, there are a few benefits of having less work to do. Obviously, you will still need to be attempting to acquire fresh work, but while you’re waiting for your efforts to yield fruit, here are 7 things you can do:
Start on that book you’ve long wanted to write.
Edit that book you started writing before you became inundated with work.
Write and schedule more blog posts.
Spend more time in writer discussion forums.
Read more than usual.
Take the opportunity for a short break.
Update your accounts.
So, not all doom and gloom after all.
