Recently, I’ve been writing about my experiences of listening to documents on the Kindle Fire. The headphones I’ve been using for this purpose is the Lindy BNX-60 pair (Amazon affiliate link). I bought the lower-priced set because I didn’t think the presumed superior quality of the more expensive pair would be worth the extra money just for listening to speech, as opposed to music.
They have proven to be a great purchase. First, the bluetooth-ness of them has meant that I can do various chores while listening to a podcast or a book, without becoming tangled up in wires.
Secondly, the quality is very good — much better with the noise cancellation setting on than otherwise.
The downsides is that with the noise cancellation on I can’t hear the phone ringing if I’m in the garden. Still, a small price to pay methinks, because people can always leave a message.
